This training will review the principles and philosophy behind play-based therapy, when play-based therapy may be appropriate, and different ideas for play-based therapy. Concepts such as data collection and creating activities to align with student goals will be discussed. The training is recommended for SLPA’s and SLP’s to support their provision of speech therapy and will include how to individualize therapy activities based on student interest. It is appropriate for staff of all experience levels.
