This workshop examines the evolution of speech-language practice in schools. Policy and practice recommendations from ASHA and Child Language research will be reviewed in the context of the latest on the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA). Models for intervention and progress monitoring and roles and responsibilities of speech-language pathologists in schools will be considered and applied.
