Behavioral Aide Workshop: Developing the Skills Required to Prevent, Manage, and Change Problem Behaviors in the School Environment *

The big Kahuna! Behavioral Aides are responsible for managing a variety of challenging behaviors in the school environment. In this workshop style training, participants are provided with the foundational knowledge of Behavior Analysis and its application in the school setting. Understanding prevention, communicative intent, reinforcement systems, classroom management, prompting, and data collection are embedded in this comprehensive workshop. Competency Based Training is utilized to ensure participants are able to demonstrate skills before being paired with challenging students. Consultative follow up with Behavioral Aides is built in to support the generalization and maintenance of skills developed.
